Environmental Report and Non-Technical Summary
The Environmental Assessment (Scotland) Act 2005 requires that Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) is undertaken on public bodies’ plans, programmes and strategies. SEA is required for MLDP2.
The draft Environmental Report and its associated Non-Technical Summary identify, describe and evaluate any likely significant environmental effects of the MLDP2 Proposed Plan, its development strategy and reasonable alternatives identified by the Council. Consultation Authorities and the public are required to be provided the opportunity to offer views on the Draft Environmental Report.
