We did

DPS17 was adopted at Planning Committee on 29.04.25.  Two amendments were made to the draft DPS17 following engagement; with respect to Local Place Plans, and engagement with people with disabilities.

Overview

This is the Development Plan Scheme for Midlothian Number 17 (DPS17) draft for consultation. The DPS sets out Midlothian Council’s programme for preparing the next Midlothian Local Development Plan (MLDP2). The DPS also includes a Participation Statement, which outlines proposed future engagement on MLDP2.

A link to download the draft DPS17 as a PDF document is at the foot of this page under the heading "Related".

The Council wishes to receive your comments and views on DPS17, including the timetable and the Participation Statement.  The planning team will consider comments received and report these to the Planning Committee, when we seek approval for the final DPS17.  There will be an opportunty to make further comments on DPS17 through the year in advance of DPS18.
