A change was made to DPS16, highlighting how the Council will engage with communities where there is not a Local Place Plan in place, and the revised version was adopted by Midlothian Council on 30.04.25

Overview

This is the approved Development Plan Scheme Number 16 (DPS16) for Midlothian. The DPS sets out Midlothian Council’s programme for preparing the next Midlothian Local Development Plan (MLDP2). The DPS also includes a Participation Statement, which outlines future engagement on MLDP2.

The Council wishes to receive your comments and views on DPS16, including the timetable and the Participation Statement. We will consider comments received, including in preparing future Development Plan Schemes.
