Draft Development Plan Scheme 16

Overview

This is the draft Development Plan Scheme Number 16 (DPS16) for Midlothian. The DPS sets out Midlothian Council’s programme for preparing the next Midlothian Local Development Plan (MLDP2). The DPS also includes a Participation Statement, which outlines future engagement on MLDP2.

For the first time we are consulting on the Development Plan Scheme before it is approved by Midlothian Council. The Council wishes to receive your comments and views on this draft DPS16, including the timetable and the Participation Statement. Please let us know if you have any comments before the 28th of March. We will consider comments received and expect to report these to the April Planning Committee. The consultation questions will remain open however, so if you have comments to make after the 28th of March, we will consider these in preparing future Development Plan Schemes.
