New Build Tenant Satisfaction Survey

Overview

We want to know how you feel about your new build council home and the development you live in. As the first tenant in your newly built council home, your feedback on different aspects of the home and your experience so far will be invaluable in highlighting what works well and where we might be able to improve services to you and to other tenants moving into new homes in the future.

Most of the questions are multiple choice and there's plenty of opportunities for you to leave your own comments. Names and addresses will not be shared and survey results will be anonymised.

To protect your privacy and the privacy of others please do not include any personal information (such as names, contact details or other information that could identity an individual) in your responses. All responses should be general and not reference specific individuals. If any personal information is provided in the responses, then this will be removed by Midlothian Council.

The survey should take around 20 minutes to complete.

Why your views matter

This survey is sent to Midlothian Council new build tenants roughly 12 months after moving in. The survey results are used to improve future new build sites. 

The survey is used on a rolling basis once the 12 month completion date is reached across Midlothian Council's new build housing stock.

What happens next

The results will be used by the Council when planning future new build homes.

The anonymised results will be shared with the Scottish Government and Scotland's Housing Network as part of the Continuous Improvement Programme.
