Vogrie Country Park Adventure Play Area Renewal

Overview

Our Greenspace Service would like to get your views on proposals to invest in Vogrie Country Park’s adventure play area which is part of a wider renewal strategy for the park.

This new investment will support the Midlothian Council Play Strategy and the Vogrie Renewal Strategy.   

The changes to the play area are designed to increase challenge, cater for a wider age range and improve accessibility and inclusivity.

The aims are therefore to:

• Introduce more challenging and exciting equipment into two areas of the adventure play area.
• Replace the current younger children’s play space with new more accessible and inclusive play equipment which will include provision for children aged 1-5-years-of-age.
• Renew the large space net and remove the old wooden fort for reasons of safety.
