We have broken down the options into directorate categories for your consideration. 

• Place: Services within this directorate include corporate functions such as finance, HR, legal, libraries, digital, etc and all services relating to Place, for example, roads, waste, land services, etc.
• Children, Young People and Partnerships: Services within this directorate include Children’s Services, Education and Communities, Lifelong Learning and Employability 
• Adult Health and Social Care (non delegated services): Most of the services within this area relate to Health, Adult Support and Protection and Older People’s services and report into the Integrated Joint Board so only Welfare Rights, a service that remains non-delegated is included in this consultation

These options are further divided into four groups:  

• What services do we propose to transform?  
• What services do we propose to reduce?
• What services do we propose to stop?
• How do we propose to generate income?

We want to understand the effects of each option and identify reasonable ways to minimise any negative impact on you.  

To enable us assess the impact of the options, we are asking respondents to indicate to what extent they would negatively impact you. 

• If you feel the option would not have any change on you then please select no impact 
• If you feel the option would cause minimal change to you please select low impact 
• If you feel the option would result in moderate change to you please select medium impact 
• If you feel the option would result in significant change for you please select high impact 

We will update and publish an impact assessment for each of the budget options alongside the publication of the budget consultation findings. The final impact assessment and all feedback and evidence will be considered by Council as part of its decision making around the budget options. 

Please note that when completing the survey, you’ll be asked to provide demographic data, e.g. age, gender, ethnicity, sexuality, disabilities etc. Completion of this section is optional.
